We have been without cable since March of this year. At first we got rid of cable because of how expensive it is. Now I see it as a welcomed lifestyle change. We have more time for taking walks in the neighborhood, playing with our cats and reading books.
Craig and I no longer waste four to five hours daily watching mindless cable television and commercials that make you feel bad about yourself and purchase items that you don't need. I personally used to spend 20 hours a week watching television! That's a part time job!!!
We still have the Internet and we watch our TV shows like the Office, One Tree Hill and Supernatural, which will only take up 2 and half hours per week. Now that we don't have cable we can focus on the shows that we really like instead of settling for shows that aren't that interesting because we are bored. Also, it helps that we are saving 634.00 per year by not having television...
