I think that I am liking Kansas City more and more. Craig and I had good time during our mini honeymoon (it's not over yet!) at the Negro Baseball and Jazz Museum on 18th and Vine. We got hungry and headed to none other than Arthur Bryants for lunch. I had pulled pork and Craig had the ribs/beef combo both were Lip smakin' good!! Who knew a little hole in the wall restaurant could have some of the best food in the city?!
We couldn't decide what to do next so I consulted our Garmin to see what other attractions off the beaten path were in or near Kansas City. We ended up at Stonehaus Farms, a small winery in Lee's Summit. We were a little anxious going in because we've never been to a winery. We were greeted warmly by the owner and stayed to try a few wines. We bought a few that we liked (surprise, surprise). We figured that since we were in Lee's Summit we might as well call up Craig's cousin Scott and his wife Laura to see if they wanted to do dinner.
While we waited for Laura to get home from work we played Mario Party on the Wii. I normally do not play video games, but I really like this one. It's like a board game on video. We played for a while then went to two of my favorites places to eat in Lee's Summit: Thai Spice for awesome Phad Thai and Calipetro's for Chai flavored gelato. Yum-O!
