Hodge Podge Randomness

I guess I'd better get in the habit of calling to confirm a doctors appointment. I went to my doctor thinking that I had had an appointment for and when I got there they said that they didn't see anything. My first thought was oh, snap! I then told them that I spoke with Misty and then Misty said that she was very sorry and had to reschedule until Monday.

It's safe to say that I was slightly annoyed at this because I left my rockstar parking at work to come to this appointment and now I will have to try to find parking spot within a three mile radius. Anyway, I am rescheduled for this coming Monday so I will definitely be calling just to make sure.

My birthday was pretty sweet. Craig had taken me out to eat at the Macaroni Grill on Saturday in Overland Park. When I got to work my boss brought "Johnbars". If you are wondering what Johnbars are they are delicious, natural, awesome and homemade energy bars that my bosses husband makes. They are made all chocolate, nuts, honey, peanut butter, oats, raisins and all sorts of yummy things.

I also got an Obama birthday card from the office as well as an Obama t-shirt from Craig! My mother-in-law got me some comfy socks and good smelling treats from Bath and Body Works. I wonder what I will get next week from my family when I see them in Topeka?! Yes, I did get material items on my birthday, but that's not what made my birthday special. The verbal birthday wishes, calls, emails, text messages, cards, and writing on my facebook wall made this a very memorable birthday. Thank you!

Craig and I are both feeling under the weather. My hubby has had a bit of a cold and tiredness the last few days. I am just now getting the fatigued feeling where my health could go either way meaning I could get better or I get worse. I am hoping for the better part because things are not going to slow down for either of us. Craig has a few weeks left of school before finals start. At work we have a December 1 deadline and a January 15th deadline and work is already starting to pile up!

On Monday, we met with our "little" and his family!! In case you haven't heard Craig and I are Big Brothers and Big Sisters now! I am very happy about this and so is Craig. We feel like even this small act will touch our his life and those around him.
