It's that time of year again. Time for a little home improvement. Last year we got a new sliding glass door, which helps immensely with the heating and cool bills. The year we are replacing the windows. Luckily for us there is only a kitchen window and two bedroom windows.
We went to Home Depot on Saturday to speak with a professional about what we should do. He gave us the information on measuring the windows etc.. We measured the windows and came up with some odd numbers. We took a look at the windows again and it look like the builder made a hole for the windows, slapped them in and then sealed them.
I am hoping that this doesn't pose a problem with the installation. We are having Craig's cousin come out to look at the windows and help us install them the first week of August. Personally I would have opted for a professional to do the job and to evaluate which windows would work best, but that's besides the point. Maybe it will be a learning experience for us. Who knows...
