Planning a Party

Sophia will be a year old next month so of course I will be planning her first birthday party! I am crazy excited. The theme is purple princess!!
I love the color purple and my little girl is a princess so it's perfect.

We are hoping to have it the Saturday afternoon before her birthday complete with tons of cupcakes with purple icing, light snacks (chips queso salsa, turkey wraps and grapes) and drinks (water, soda and sun tea).

I can get a majority we need for super cheap at the dollar tree store and Wal Mart (basically all purple party supplies)

The only problem I foresee is space. We have a small 2 bedroom house. I don't think that it would be too much of a problem since her party will be from 1-6pm and I highly doubt everyone will show up at the same time. Also, if the weather is agreeable we can have part of it outside under the outdoor canopy! We are also thinking about getting an umbrella for our patio table to provide extra seating.

There are a couple of projects that I must accomplish before the party...deep cleaning of the kitchen and utility room, painting the kitchen, and accent hall in living room, then if there is time repainting the kitchen. The nasty yellow color has to go!

I am sure it will be fun. Sophia won't even remember it, but I will.
