Blurb

Lots of updates!

Sophia- Is now one year old!! The last few posts have been dominated with updates about her. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that she is my daughter, healthy and beautiful.

She is doing a slow transition to bottle to sippy cup and formula to whole milk. I didn't have any problems when she transitioned to formula from breast milk so I am hoping for similar results.

She has started pointing to things with her her whole hand. I try to tell her what she is pointing to so that she can start associating names with objects.

Her birthday party was a blast. I have never seen so many people in our house before (Thank you mom and dad inlaw for all the cleaning, sanding, mowing and painting....our house looked amazing!!) Sophia had a great time eating cupcakes and playing with wrapping paper.

Craig-

He's kicking butt and taking names in his classes at KU. He has decided to major in Sociology with a minor psychology! I am excited about the sociology major because that is what I graduated with:)

On Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons Craig takes care of Sophia and A while A's mom goes to class. He has a good time with them. His favorite activity is to wrestle them (gently of course) I can't wait to hear what things they did together.

Me

Down another 1.8 lbs as of this Monday! I think that is a total of 9 lbs since July. It's coming off slowly, but I am glad that it's coming off. Who knew that 5 years of weight gain would take this long to come off?! I thank sparkpeople for the recent progress.

Signed up for two growth groups at church and co leading a walking growth group! I am reading books in the ones I signed up for. I am really excited about the topics and meeting new people.

We have finished most of the home improvements and decorating!! Our living room is repainted,  kitchen and cabinets are repainted, most of the trim is repainted throughout the house, ceiling fan installed in the kitchen, bathroom cabinets are painted. All that is left is a new sink for the bathroom and curtains for the living room.

I have some other projects in mind, but I am thinking that those may have to wait until Spring 2011.
