Pure at Heart

“Blessed are the pure in heart, they will see God.”  (Matthew 5:8)

Read this today in a blog and it got me thinking about the things in my life where God's presence can be seen.

• God's presence can be seen in my daughter. She is so beautiful and full of wonder.
• The trees and flowers blooming all over Lawrence. After a yucky winter spring sure feels refreshing.
• Church family. They are non judgmental and very supportive. This past year alone they have helped me grow in ways that I didn't that was possible.
• My husband even though he is not currently employed he takes excellent care of our daughter and provides solid nutritious meals for us to eat. I know that sometimes he feels out of place and discouraged in his temporary role, but I am so thankful that he can step up and be flexible.

I pray today that I can see God's presence in more things and people around me. I want to remember the small things like those listed here so when big not so great things happen I don't get blindsided.
