Well, I am a mom of a four month old next week! Langston is growing and changing daily sometimes it is overwhelming to keep up with. His current likes are his sister Sophia, smiling, playing with his adorable toes, and being outside.
We are still transitioning from a one kid household to a two kid household...I guess my biggest issue is timing especially in the mornings trying to get each one ready! One thing that isn’t much of an issue for now is sleep! Co-sleeping with Langston is awesome! I get more sleep and extra cuddle time that I don't get during the day!
Ahh Sophia! She is a whirlwind of energy and emotions. I think in part because there is another child and the other part is that she is two years old! LOL! Now that Langston is a little bit older I will be carving out more time to spend with Sophia. I think that she will enjoy more attention and I will enjoy connecting with her again.
Craig is doing very well at Carmax. He caught on very quickly (not surprised… He is scary intelligent) He spends a lot of his time outside so he has a killer farmer’s tan. *Fingers crossed* There might be a chance for advancement in September!
I am co leading a walking growth group on Sunday evenings! I sat out the last round of groups so that I could bond with my newborn. I am glad that I took that time off because I was a hot mess. Now things are definitely easier so I am looking forward to exercising and bonding with a great group of ladies. Craig joined a beer and tough questions growth group on Wednesdays! I am excited for him to bond with more men from church and enjoy some good beer.
I will have a low key summer and enjoying my family more. I do have a personal goal that I think that I can achieve before the summer is over. I recently lost 25lbs (mostly not having time eat..LOL) over a three month period. When I found out I was pregnant with Langston at this time last year I was 275 (WTH! I know…seriously out of control) Now I am 250 (better, but still way too heavy). It’s nice to finally see some real results. I am tired of looking like a blob next to my husband and children. Also, I have an extra incentive to lose weight and keep it off because one of my favorite clothing stores in going to town White House Black Market!
My goal is to have another 25 pounds gone by September. After tracking what I eat I know that I have a huge sweet tooth (especially after work and before bed time) so I have been eating a variety of fruits to help curb my cravings and it has been working. I don’t want mess too much with my diet, but I figure if I eat healthier then Langston is also getting the nutrients that he needs.
