July’s Goals
Faith
1. Pray every day & Keep up with my bible reading on YouVersion (The Essential 100 & The Confident Woman Devotional) Yep!!!
2. Go to church for the rest of the month. I love my church family and see some of them during the week, which is nice, but not the same. I had some time off due to a wedding, family weekend and daughter had a fever YEP!
Wife/Marriage Goals
3. Read Screw tape Letters. Hubby loved this book and I am thinking about doing a book growth group if I love it. I didn't read this yet, but do plan to. I was hoping to lead a growth group for fall, but now think that I will join one this time around as it has been a while since I was a participant (I have some growing to do) and lead one in the spring. I wish I had time to do both.
4. Write a weekly love/encouragement letter to Craig. Yes, in the form of texts, facebook posts
5. Go on at least two dates a month with Craig. One in town and one out of town (KC, Topeka, etc) We got two dates in!! One was for dinner and the other at a grocery store.
Health
6. Walk for 30 minutes 4 times per week. Almost..I walked three times a week.
7. Lose 8 more pounds. Nope only two, but I will take that!
8. Plan meals at least a week in advance. We did so well the first half of the month. This last week we only had meals planned out for two to three days ahead.
9. Continue to incorporate new organic/ healthy food into our life focus on breakfast foods. YES!! I love my smoothies in the morning, spinach and kale in salads, almond or soy milk etc...
Home Management Goals
10. Rearrange and clean our bedroom/closet. NOPE! Just started the closet this week. LOL!
11. Fix our vacuum. NO! We got a used one from the inlaws. Our vacuum is no good :(
12. Laundry twice a week Wed & Sun. Yeah, it was good in theory. I still do laundry 3-4 times per week.
13. Go to sleep 30 minutes earlier than normal. YES, most of the time. The earlier I go to bed the better I feel.
14. Clean or organize for at least 30 minutes each day. I usually do this for 15 minutes before I leave the house in the morning and 15 minutes before I go to sleep.
15. Check baby/toddler supplies weekly (diapers, wipes, etc.) Yes, I have been on top of it all month! Haven't run out of anything.
Mommy Goals
16. Plan Sophia’s b-day parties in September. One for family and the other for friends! DONESKIES!
17. Read daily to Sophia and Langston. Almost! There were a few days where I just forgot.
18. Take pictures of my family everyday. YES! They are all uploaded to my computer. I will have to post them when I get a chance.
19. Organize Sophia and Langston’s room. Not yet...I did clean out the closets and found two trash bags full of clothes that I am taking to a clothes swap party!
20. Take one night a week to not do anything, but hang out with my kids. YES! I think I did this twice a week! We went on walks, took Sophia to play with friends, watched My Little Ponies, made dinner together, went to the park, gone swimming...list goes on!
Overall, I didn't make most of the goals that I set out for myself, but I did learn that I may have to focus my goals a little bit for the next month.
