Last three days

Langston is teething and has a cold, which means my little happy baby boy who sleeps almost through the night has been replaced with a frowny cry baby who wakes up every two to three hours. Last night I was so exhausted that I didn’t even wake up when he started crying in his crib that is right next to the bed. My husband came in from the living room to see what was wrong. I felt like a failure when he woke me up I heard Langy crying and didn’t know what was going on. I have been a walking zombie for a while now and it is finally catching up with me. I need SLEEP. On a positive note, he is officially CRAWLING! I am a mother of a crawler. He is developing so quickly that before I know it he will be walking.

I am currently dealing with Sophia’s tantrums. She used to have them now and again about specific things like not wanting to share, wanting juice with no water added…etc. Now she has full blown tantrums over very small things. We had a full weekend so I am sure that had something to do with it. We went to KC on Saturday and the pumpkin patch on Sunday. She did okay overall, but she didn’t seem like herself. I am going to keep an even closer eye on her the next few days and see if there is something else that I overlooked. I always look for the positive in potentially negative situations…Sophia and I did enjoy long stroller ride, making pumpkin muffins and a trip to the store yesterday. She is so smart and receptive to everything that I say. She repeated all the ingredient for the pumpkin muffins back to be with her cute little voice..melt my heart.

5th Wedding Anniversary was Saturday! Craig and I were able to go to dinner on Friday night at a place called Dondon that serves Japanese style food. Yum! Saturday we went to Mass St. and caught the tail end of the Color Run, then had dinner at Picklemans and coffee at La Prima Taza (the place where we had our first date 8 years ago!). We just had a great time. I like that we were able to get away from everything and just be with each other.
