Lemonade cream pie
My second time making this pie. Second time is a charm.
1 can of frozen lemonade concentrate
16 oz of whipped topping
Half can of condensed milk
Graham cracker pie crust
(I used the juice from two lemons and sprinkled the rind on the top)
If you are a lemon lover like me this is heaven in your mouth. This will be my go to dessert for the next few months ;)

June 3 2014
I am excited for thing things this week:
1. Air conditioning in my car. This is the first summer in six years that I have had AC that has worked in the summer. I wholeheartedly appreciate being able to drive around and not be sweaty and cranky.
2. I am heading off to Colorado for a week for mostly work, but I plan on having a little fun. A whole week. No hubby. No kids. No Pets. Just me. Learning to do my job better. Free evenings. No cooking or cleaning. I am so ready. I will savor the time away from my daily reality.
3. Reading books, not just children' books. Before kids I would read at least three or four books a month. I want to try to do that for June. I think that it would be a good change from plopping down and watching Netflix all night :)

End of the year
Whoo. Whoo. It's May. I haven't updated for a while so here it goes:
Craig is now a sales consultant with CarMax. My husband doing very well (what can I say he rocks). He used to think of himself as an introvert, but now his career is challenging him to be more of an extrovert. Being so new I could hardly believe my ears when he became a sales mentor. I am incredibly proud of him of look forward to hearing more sales stories and triumphs.
Sophia has completed her 1st year of preschool at Lawrence Arts Center! She had a complete blast there 3 days a week. Art Projects, Music, Reading, Singing, Dance, Writing....she did it all. Her teachers were simply the BEST. This summer she will miss her class, but we hope to provide her with opportunities for fun and learning. She has a full summer and it hasn't even started yet. Swim lessons, Princess Dance Camp, Gymnastics Camp and play-dates. She is signed up for the summer reading program at the library. I wanna be four years old! ha!
Langston, mommy's little man. I cannot believe that he is two. Time really flies with the second child. He is in a small in home daycare not far from our house. He is learning numbers, letters, colors, sharing, listening...he is even potty training now. It is so weird for me to hear him talk in complete sentences (who is this?). He is all signed up for the summer reading program. I hope to read a ton of books this summer! Langy will continue with daycare over the summer and participate in gymnastics one day a week! He's gonna love it.
Other updates:
We are not going to sell the duplex this spring. We need more time to build up savings, pay down student loans, and adjust our budget. In the meantime, I am doing my best to keep the house clean. We have given away items, donated, sold, traded, put things in storage...but the house still seems cluttered. I hope to be able to get somethings cleared out during the three day weekend. I did break down and had my mother in law help me with some of the cleaning. When you haven't deep cleaned in over five years things can get overwhelming. If you are reading this please pray for me in this area. I want to have a clean home, but when I get home from working I do not have the motivation to do anything.
