The last couple of days have been a whirlwind of activity! Friday night I went to my first clothing swap with some lovely ladies from my church! I found some really cute things that I can wear now and in the fall. I was successful in getting only the things that I truly needed and not more than that. I purged my closet for the first time this year and didn't like what I saw. I didn't have enough black, white, gray or navy clothing that I could layer or make different outfits with. I had these weird colors that didn't mix and match with other items. I have so many goals this year for myself, but one of them will be to obtain more basic items for my closet. Anyway, the people who put it together rock my socks off! So many rooms to try on clothes.. and it was a very positive environment for someone like me who isn't that comfortable with self image.
After the clothes swap, my hubby suggested that we get a bite to eat while the kids were with nana and papa. We went to On the Border! Funny story, Craig and I's first date was at OTB back in Spring 2004 around the time it first opened. We had a good time talking and connecting. It get a little overwhelming working full time and with two children that sometimes I forget to relax. I seriously need more date nights!
