I love my little girl so fiercely. She amazes me every day with her ability to articulate what she is feeling, how others are feeling and just learning in general. Since adding a second child to our home, Sophia and I’s relationship has changed. She knows that I need to spend more time attending to Langston’s needs. In an effort to make more time for my little girl, I ask family members to watch Langston while Sophia and i go and have some fun. We did just that yesterday.
We went to a party for a new Dillon's reopening. It was HOT and I was cranky... I wanted so much to spend time talking with my friends, but that so wasn’t on Sophia agenda. She wanted popcorn and cotton candy.. not to stand around in the hot sun talking! She is so like her daddy sometimes it’s cute. He would have gone for the food too.
Anyway, we get squared away with the food, then we move over to the bounce house. I talked up the bounce house for a while, but when we got there she did not want to do it because there were to many big kids around. We settled on face painting. We stood in line for a good twenty minutes. I was seriously done. It was hot I was cranky. I quickly remembered why I was there. I was there to spend time with my little girl! We finally get to the front of the line and there is an opening. Some other mom is pushing her kid in front of us and into the seat...I went a little momma grizzly..I firmly told them that we have been waiting for about 20 minutes and they needed to wait their turn. I picked Sophia up and put her in the seat. My girl will get her face painted NOW! GRR! LOL! I try not to come off as mean, but really?! I even made sure the other people before me were taken care of first before before I even stepped up.
Sophia was starting to get hot so we got some cotton candy for the ride home!
