Work: There will be lots of changes in this area of my life. My
office is getting an overhaul and we are combining with another office in a new
work space. My job will change. I am trying to be positive with all this, but
it seems like all I have worked for in the last four years is being stripped
away. Anyway, I will be posting more on this as it unfolds over September,
October and November.
Halloween: Langston will be a little lion. I got his costume
yesterday for three dollars. Yes!
Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love the candy and the costumes. I like the scary movies and the fall weather. Sophia got a little jealous when I found his costume so I am on the search for a cheap or free costume for her.
Debt: I got a little surprise a few days ago. I noticed that we are making another final payment to a medical bill this month! That makes two debts that we can say good bye to this month. We will use the “extra” money on paying down the next largest debt. So I did some calculations and we owe more on student loans than we do on our mortgage. True Story…wow! At this point if we had credit cards and a car loan I wouldn’t even know what to do. We know what kinds of decisions led us to where we are today with our student loans. We were young and didn’t think about having to pay all that money back. We are making better, wiser and more thought out decisions with our money today. We are building character as we pay off our debts. We are also showing Langston and Sophia to not run away from mistakes when it comes to money. I will be posting more on debt as it is a very real part of our lives and probably will be for the next three to five years.

Eat Your Own Pantry: I am taking the eat your own pantry challenge
for the month of September! I want to use up all those food items that always
seem to be there month after month. I will post the recipes that I come up with.
I am looking forward to shaking up our lunch and dinner menus.
