Two more days until I am off for holiday vacation. It has been six years since I have been able to take more than a week off from work during this time. Don't get me wrong. I love being a working mommy, but there are times when it is nice to just relax at home with Craig and the kids. Do I have much planned? Not really. I want to do a few things with Sophia like go to the A Kansas Nutcracker and Frozen. Langston and I will go to Jump4Joy and Toddler Open Gym. We have a few family gatherings scheduled. Topeka to see my family on Christmas Eve Day. Liberty and St. Joe, MO to see Craig's family the weekend after Christmas (luckily this is all one day so that we don't have to make multiple trips). I can't wait to see friends and family that we haven't seen for a while. Not to mention all the wonderful holiday food. I am gonna need my maternity pants!
Holiday countdown and I didn't mention gifts....well, since Craig and I are still doing the doing the Total Money Makeover we scaled that way down. In the past we have given gifts just to give them. This year we are giving gifts to those close to us that we know will absolutely love them. I gave Craig a few of his gifts early (who wants to wait?!)...a new pillow and an anniversary edition of White Christmas (got both for under 10 bucks on black Friday!). He loved them both and it made his day.
