Can't Wait Until Spring

This past weekend I had several humbling and positive experiences at Young Wives Club. We were able to talk about relationships openly and about ourselves. I was very happy to be able to rekindle my relationship with God. I never completely been off course with my spiritual relationship with God these past years, but I have not been as faithful as I should. Although my focus is my personal relationship with God I still need to find a church family. I do bible study and church services online through IBOC which is my cousins church in Dallas, TX. I still think that I can do better. I am very happy to have Emily, Emma, and Carole helping find a church family by attending different church services each Sunday. Last Sunday we went to Lenexa Christian Center but didn't like the fact that the sermon was only tied to two verses out of the bible and everything else was filler. I will just keep looking!

One of the bible verses that sticks out in my mind from the weekend was "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the well spring of life". Proverbs 4:23 So many times we let our hearts get bogged down with junk (jealousy, lying, gossip etc...) that makes us lazy. We must guard our hearts from those things so that we have a life filled with love and renewal. There were so many good topics over the weekend so if you want to know just ask me!

This weekend was also was a not so good weekend for Craig. I gave him the flu a couple of days ago. He got very sick with a high fever which triggered mild seizures. He has epilepsy since he was young and hasn't had many seizures since his operation after high school. I will have to admit that I have never seen Craig have a seizure. I was scared, but I knew that he would come through and be just fine. Prayers and support from friends and family got us through these last two days. Craig is doing well and his fever has gone down considerably.
